On Sunday 18th July the Team Immunity 1.6 team secured an autoberth to the World Cyber Games Australian Final. The team was in good form throughout the qualifier only losing one match in group stages and then going on to win the finals to place first.
Team member Justin "Kurandus" Evans expressed his thoughts:
“It was good to play another event with the team as it’s the first chance we've had to meet up with each other since Elysium Community Nationals. We're happy to win the auto birth spot for seedings sake and flights. We look forward to the challenge of winning back to back nationals at what should be a competition with Australia’s best teams. Just a shame that the qualifiers and finals are only a week apart, not giving many teams time to organise themselves...possibly resulting in teams unable to make the finals.”
Group Stages
Immunity > Top Gear 16-12
Boston Deagle > Immunity 16-08
Immunity > sniPPer division 16-3
Immunity > C'est la vie 16-8
Finals
Immunity > Boston Deagle 16-5
Immunity > Boston Dealge 13-2* (team forfeited)
The team will face off against Australia’s best in Sydney on the weekend (24th – 25th July) for the chance to win a ticket to the World Cyber Games Final in Los Angeles in September. They will be going into the event as the top seed.

Team Immunity have taken first place in CyberGamer's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 One Day Championship on Sunday the 4th of July. Through a strong and convincing performance they have bested some of their most challenging opposition in Australian competitive Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to successfully secure the top position.
The team had to push their way through a Groups stage, held on Sunday the 27th of June, to advance onto the finals stage. The team successfully overcame two strong teams in their group, with one team unfortunately having to forfeit. They did this without a scratch successfully taking three wins, no losses, 187 points for and 0 against; in Group B and advancing on to the Semi-finals. The team had a chance to show they've improved, not only to themselves but to the entire competitive scene, they're strong and healthy with drive to win. Team Captain Jamil "Katalyst" Lakhan was ecstatic with the teams efforts and attitude,
"Yeah, we've really improved since our line-up changes, I can definitely say things are looking great for us".
The results in the group stage were as follows:
Game 1: Team Immunity vs Imperium.
Result: 44 - 0
Game 2: Team Immunity vs Gummybears.
Result: 142 - 0
Game 3: Team Immunityvs Apex.
Result: Apex forfeit
Advancing from group stages with these results in mind, the team was ready and motivated coming into the Finals stage on the 4th of July, they put emphasis into their practice and felt confident about their chances. This was bolstered when they successfully took out the semi-finals against 'Perplexity', who also advanced through the group stages with three wins and no losses.
Semi-Finals:
Team Immunity vs Perplexity.
Result: 177-0
With a convincing win in the semi-finals the team confidently went into the Grand Finals against 'Anarchy Krew', an imposing team they had never played before-hand who had won the CyberGamer Conquest Champions League earlier this year.
In reflection "Katalyst" shared the teams thoughts going into the match,
"We knew it was going to be a very tough game, we had practiced every map but White Pass was our weakest, we knew we would be put to the test on this map when they chose it as the first map. However the team was quitely confident and ready to play to their best."
The Grand Final unfolded over a best of three maps format, with Team Immunity able to come out on top against their toughest rival.
Grand Finals:
Map 1: White Pass
82 - 0 Anarchy Krew
Map 2: Arica
61 - 33 Team Immunity
Map 3: Presa
26 - 5 Team Immunity
There where some extremely intense moments in the finals, especially when they where on the back foot fighting for survival trying to hold onto 'Flags', and in one case scrambling together with fast reviving to hold onto desperate few remaining tickets. The Grand Finals was an impressive show of the team's ability to work together and pull together in tough situations and come out on top.
The win has secured the team a position in CyberGamer's invite league for next season, which is sure to be an exciting and grueling season for the team who will be fighting to maintain their number one position!
